LAMP

In recent years, the demand for Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) has steadily increased. This nucleic acid amplification technique demonstrated its value during the COVID-19 pandemic, when governments supported its use for large-scale testing. Unlike PCR, LAMP operates at a constant temperature, eliminating the need for a thermocycler and significantly reducing time-to-result.

Various detection methods are available, including turbidity, colorimetric changes, real-time fluorescence, lateral flow assays, and CRISPR-based systems.

Meridian Bioscience offers a broad range of LAMP reagents, including kits optimized for blood, saliva, stool, and urine samples, as well as specialized enzymes and buffers.
