Cell Counting

Cell counting is widely performed in laboratories. Nowadays, scientists do not have to count the cells themselves, but they can use automated cell counters. Counting cells is required in many workflows, for example to adjust molecular biology experiment reagents, examine the growth rate of microorganisms, and calculate the ratio between dead and alive cells. Knowing the number of input cells is essential for standardization of experiments.

GC biotech offers DeNovix’s automated cell counters. A lot of cell counters require plastic slides for cell counting, but DeNovix uses smart pipetting technology for which no plastic slides are required. This makes the cell counters a more sustainable choice for in the lab. Apart from the sustainability benefits, the cell counters give accurate cell numbers and have many functions.
