The DeNovix DS-C Spectrophotometer offers outstanding dynamic range, sensitivity, flexibility and ease of use. The instrument is ready right out of the box—no PC setup or software installation is required. From GMP compliance facilities to teaching labs, the versatile DS-C makes absorbance measurements simple with application-specific EasyApps™ software.
Create simple kinetics methods measuring two absorbance wavelengths over a user-defined measurement frequency and period. EasyApps streamlines the process to create and save custom methods and enables cuvette temperature control between and 37° and 45° C.
The high-particulate nature of bacterial cell cultures benefit from a longer measurement pathlength. The particulates in these samples scatter light, and a 10mm pathlength provides a longer cross-section of the sample for the spectrophotometer’s light beam to travel through. This ensures the highest degree of accuracy and reproducibility when measuring these types of samples.
No need for routine recalibration or scheduled maintenance procedures—the DS-C Spectrophotometer is calibrated for life!
The DS-C is compatible with standard quartz or plastic cuvettes with an industry-standard 8.5 mm z-height. Select from standard, semi-micro cuvettes and specialized microvolume cuvettes. Pathlengths from 0.125 to 10 mm can be selected in EasyApps, providing assay flexibility and extended dynamic range. Upper concentration limit is extended with shorter pathlengths.
With its stand-alone functionality and intuitive user interface, the DS-C is the perfect spectrophotometer for classroom settings.
