Bambanker from Nippon Genetics is a Cell freezing media for cultured cells. All known cell lines can be stored in liquid nitrogen or at -80°C for up to 24 months when using Bambanker. Compared to traditional media, the rate of intact cells after thawing is improved, especially for sensitive cells.
Gradual or programmable freezing is no longer necessary. Cells are spun down in the log growth phase and frozen in 1 ml Bambanker. There is no interaction with serum proteins and your cells and no risk of contamination.
Bambanker is stable for two years, if stored at 2-10°C.
The Bambanker product line contains products with and without additives such as DMSO. Depending on your needs, the ideal freezing media is available. The development of Bambanker comes from the need for long term storage within a company. Initially the product was developed for in house use only. At this moment the product range is the market leader in the country of origin Japan and the use in Europe is growing at a fast rate.
The instruments for Cell Biology are focused on tissue grinding and homogenizing. The Tissue Grinder Mixy Proffesional is a handheld single tube device for the grinding and homogenization of soft tissue within a single microcentrifuge tube. The device is powered by a battery and can be used up to 4 hours. The pestles used with the Tissue Grinder Mixy Proffesional are available in stainless steel and as a disposable in plastic.
A wide variation of storage tubes, racks, Cell culture chambers and filters for cell culture chambers complete the product range for cell biology offered by Nippon genetics. The FastGene storage tubes can be used as is, or be equipped with a 2D barcoded insert at the bottom to further increase tracking and tracing capabilities.
